Legend

Date:

This is the date the hike was taken. Most hikes here were taken in the morning hours.

Distance (GPS):

This is the hike distance, as measured by GPS. The GPS track from the hike is plotted on a topo map and the hike distance is taken from the map. This is not the same as the GPS trip odometer, which I've found to be very innacurate.

Distance (pedometer):

This is the hike distance, as measured by pedometer. Also not completely accurate, but I believe this to be more accurate than the other "electronic" methods. Or, at least this agrees the most with the signs found along the way.

Elevation Change:

This is the elevation change, highest point on the hike minus the lowest point on the hike.

Hike Time:

How long the hike took.

Difficulty:

How hard the hike was. Purely subjective.

Density:

The number of people encountered on the trail.
